Characters

Kingdom Faire has a wide range of important characters below are the ones you need to know

Princess Morgana

Princess Royal of Borica

Twin sister to Crown Prince Adewale, Morgana was born 7 minutes before her brother yet Borican custom still gives him the throne. Fiercely capable and sharp minded, she is not one to play games and has a good eye for who is genuine and who is not. She would rather rule than wed and has made her feelings on the matter perfectly clear to anyone who will listen.

King Liam

King of Denmira

The only suitor to arrive in Borica already crowned King, though Denmira is a small realm that draws little respect from the other bachelors. Liam is gentle by nature but not one to be bullied. He is more interested in whether Morgana actually wants to get married than in what marrying her would gain him. Unlike the other suitors, he is here for entirely the right reasons.

Queen Morgain

Queen of Borica

A formidable ruler who raised Morgana to be strong and capable. She commands a room without raising her voice and earns the respect of every person in it. Equal parts iron and grace, she is the parent Morgana fears disappointing most and admires the most at the same time.

King Adedayo

King of Borica

The first king of Borica to open the realm's borders after generations of isolationism. Adoring and occasionally embarrassing as a father, he is genuine in his belief that the world beyond Borica's walls has something to offer his people. His open door policy sets the entire story in motion.

Prince Adewale

Crown Prince of Borica

Morgana's twin brother and Borica's first foreign ambassador. His travels abroad changed him and the realm. He is quietly sharp and tends to notice more than people give him credit for. His relationship with his sister runs deeper than most siblings and his bond with his betrothed is the love story Borica is measuring all others against.

Lord William Somnus

Advisor & Confidant to King Liam of Denmira

Liam's trusted advisor and the closest thing he has to a father figure. Somnus made a promise to Liam's father on his deathbed to see the boy rule long and well. He takes that promise seriously. He is rarely the loudest voice in the room but tends to be the most important one.

Big Samson

Royal Bodyguard to Princess Morgana

Descendant of a long line of royal protectors who have served the crown of Borica. He has been at Morgana's side since birth and would follow her anywhere without question. A man of few words and very clear priorities. King Adedayo notes with pride that wherever Morgana goes, Samson goes.

Princess Abigail

Betrothed to Crown Prince Adewale, Princess of Orland

Adewale's true love and the woman who will one day share the throne of Borica. She met him when he served as Borica's first ambassador to Orland. Practical and warm, she has no patience for ceremony when something actually needs to be dealt with. She and Morgana have an instant mutual respect.

Queen Astrid of Ingmar

Aunt to Prince Stewy, Mother to Prince Augustus

Presented as a doting aunt and supportive chaperone, Astrid is in Borica for reasons that have nothing to do with love or celebration. She is the most calculating person in any room she enters and has been playing a longer game than anyone suspects. Her devotion to Augustus and Stewy is entirely conditional on what they can deliver for her.

Prince Stewy

Crown Prince of Leiticus

His Royal Highness, Stewart Leonard Theopholus the Second. Dry, calculated, and thoroughly convinced that the outcome of this contest is only a matter of time. He fancies himself the sensible and inevitable choice and presents himself accordingly. What he lacks in warmth he believes he makes up for in pedigree.

Prince Augustus

Crown Prince and Archduke of Ingmar

His Royal Highness Augustus Benedict Constantine the Third. Elegant, dismissive, and fully convinced that Morgana's resistance is a performance she puts on for the benefit of her family. He has decided the mineral wealth of Borica is the real prize and that securing it through marriage is simply a formality. He does not hide this as well as he thinks he does.

The Inspiration

Borica's Royal Muses (Valentina, Veena, Shadiya, Shirah)

A quartet of ageless muses who have served the royal family of Borica across generations. Nobody can quite explain why even the boldest of bachelors falls to pieces in their presence, yet no one questions it either. They are the emotional heartbeat of Borica and the keepers of its history. They are also not above putting a suitor in the corner when the situation calls for it.
